★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite being in a touristy town in the heart of the Douro - this is a downhome dive in the best sense.
About 10 euros got us a Hot Dog covered in Francesinha Sauce, a meat-n-cheese sandwich covered in Francesinha sauce and 2 beers. Not fancy, just good, messy, greasy diner food.
There is a lovely patio out back with river views.
