About Comida Independente
A Comida Independente nasceu há 3 anos, com o objetivo de reunir comida e vinho de produção artesanal no mesmo espaço. Resulta de uma pesquisa no terreno, em que visitámos produtores em todo o país. A partir de associações regionais, artigos da especialidade e referências de cozinheiros, metemo-nos à estrada e fomos ver com os nossos próprios olhos. Sem outras condicionantes para além da nossa avaliação, reforçámos a independência do nosso nome. Aprendemos muito sobre os desafios da pequena produção e sobre a cadeia de valor económico da qual também fazemos parte. É por isso que a nossa mascote é um lobo. Valorizamos o que é feito com as melhores matérias primas e as melhores técnicas para produzir os melhores resultados. Focamo-nos na produção de qualidade em pequena escala e a nossa assinatura é “Grandes Produtos de Pequenos Produtores”.

Nos últimos anos, a loja da Comida Independente em Santos tem recebido produtores de todo o país em provas de vinho e comida. Tornou-se uma meca dos aficionados, cozinheiros e escanções. Recebemos pessoas de todo o mundo e promovemos o nosso património vínico e gastronómico.
No contexto da pandemia coronavírus, adaptamos a nossa operação para uma plataforma online com entregas em casa ou recolha na loja. Agindo com ética de respeito pelos nossos produtores e clientes, praticando preços justos e contribuindo com a nossa parte para a dinâmica económica.

I was after pet NAT and other natural wines, we went to the place late so couldn't have any food, but still a glass of wine would have been nice. They had a sparkling rose, I asked if it was a pet NAT, no was the answer - it wasn't what I was looking for. As I was English they then thought they could mock me in Portuguese out loud as I wouldn't drink the sparkling rose because it wasn't what I was looking for at that particular moment ?. It's a shame as the selection is very good, but the staff are very rude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely a wonderful spot for very unique wines, an incredible pastrami sandwich and small producer products from Portugal, France and surrounding areas. Rita was incredibly generous with her time and was passionate about the business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice people! However, the space is a bit too small, selection of goods is minimal and their famous pastrami sandwich needs to improve. It was salty and dry and lacked any type of appeal. Anyhow, it’s a super small and sweet place to grab a drink or two on your way to another place or for a night cap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went for dinner for my husbands birthday after spending the day walking Lisboa. Amazing service, everything we ate was beyond wonderful. Definitely wish there were more places like this all over. Every employee was also so kind and we had fun picking out which wine to drink for the night.

It is a shop with few tables where you can enjoy the huge selection of wines (6€ corking fee) and a selection of small plates. We enjoyed the charcuterie board and tasted multiple natural wines, one better than the other. Price was in the range for the quality of the products and the staff was very nice and attentive. We will definitely go back with friends. Please note - the tables inside (excepts for one) are not too big so might not fit a big group.
