A história…
Antes de mais, o restaurante Comptoir Parisien é uma história de Amor. Um romance entre um casal de restauradores parisienses e Lisboa. Bastou um olhar para o charme se revelar e a paixão nascer.
A sedução fez o resto…
É verdade que Lisboa é a única capital europeia à Beira mar. Também é verdade que a beleza da capital portuguesa, o seu clima quasi-ideal, e o famoso calor dos portugueses facilitaram mais ainda a aproximação entre LX e um casal de restauradores parisienses com mais de 20 anos de experiência na restauração em Paris.
O stress, o ruido, e a inevitável loucura da cidade da luz acabaram por nos incitar a descobrir outros horizontes. E bastou uma curta viagem a Lisboa, para a elegermos como porto de abrigo.
E foi assim que Belém se tornou «O» sitio, no qual podemos conciliar o prazer dos nossos clientes com o nosso.
Aconteceu um milagre em Lisboa. Um parto. A vida tomou forma. Nasceu o Comptoir Parisien. O restaurante que marcamos com as nossas assinaturas mútuas. A nossa, como profissionais da restauração. E a vossa, com Clientes desejosos de descobrir novos gostos e uma cozinha autentica e saborosa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It has good French food, but not the level of French chef. It is like a French bistro with Portuguese food also. The prices are ok if you are a French tourist, but not cheap for Portuguese wallets. You will find mostly French and tourists. The deserts could be a little but bigger. French wine by the glass would be a big plus. This restaurant has expensive French wines, so a glass is a good option.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice spot for lunch. Good selection of food, lunch specials looked best. I had the Moqueca de corvettes ( prawns in a coconut sauce) with rice, very good. Husband had the grilled cod, also good. Got here 12:30and avoided the crowd.

The food is delicious (you must order the Octopus Risotto... soo good) and the service is genuine. The food is delicious & fresh and people enjoy their time here. Definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing, amaaaaazing place.. not a big seafood fun, so saying this now says it all - the best seafood dish I have ever had - octopus rissoto -like woooow...wow.. what a flavours!!! Will be dreaming about it for while.. 5 stars it's not enough!! I am giving you 100!!!! Thank you for such a lovely experience

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If visiting Belém for the 'original' pastel de nata at the historic Pastéis de Belém, a visit to the beautiful Jerónimos Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos), the nearby Padrão dos Descobrimentos monument, or the famous Belém Tower (Torre de Belém), both a national monument and World Heritage (UNESCO) site, the nearby Comptoir Parisien will make a great spot for lunch or dinner.
PROS
- Seated and fed us at 15:30, having closed at 15:00, on Christmas Eve ... HOOAH!
- Plenty of outdoor seating, which came in handy considering that Portugal implemented a requirement, just days before, for a negative COVID test result to eat inside restaurants over the Christmas and New Year holidays
- The French Onion Soup (€6) was the best I have ever had
- My Sausage and Lentils (€15) was excellent and TOO BIGGA EAT ... MAMA MIA!
- The sauces on the steaks au poivre and roquefort (€16 each) were both very tasty
- The service was friendly, with one exception (below), and professional ... MERCI BEAUCOUP!
- The prices were very fair for the portions and quality of the food.
CONS
- We were greeted, and I use that term very loosely, by a nasty little man at the entrance to the restaurant whom was trying to get rid of us so he could go home. Fortunately, the owner came along before we could leave and told him to serve us
- The medium-well steaks we ordered arrived medium-rare despite my wife and son indicating 'no blood please'
