Neste momento é um ponto de encontro de várias gerações inclusive na esplanada do café império, que se estende para a zona do jardim, junto ao cineteatro local histórico, recomendo e deixo a nota café império julgo que seja dos últimos sítios em almeirim onde se pode jogar uma partida de bilhar no primeiro andar.

No seu redor é possível de visitar o Ciniteatro de Almeirim e o famoso Café Império, fazendo desta zona um ponto de encontro de jovens a qualquer hora do dia. Excelente local para descontrair, a qualquer altura do ano.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ É pena que o cartão de visita das Cidades como são os espaços verdes não mereçam da parte dos responsáveis autárquicos a manutenção adequada, e este jardim da república tem que ter o merecimento que tanto precisa, vamos pois fazer deste espaço ajardinado um local mais aprazível para bem de Almeirim.
