A monument, although somewhat neglected conservation, worth visiting. I guess the budget shortfalls are to blame.

Well recovered. Incomplete altarpiece (missing the tabernacle and the image of Saint Benedict, both stolen). Stolen bells for lack of vigilance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Convento que já deu casa a várias pessoas. Já foi um sítio de freiras, uma casa pia e agora está vazio mas pode vir a ser um museu. Bonito e com uma igreja por dentro.
Convent that has housed several people. It was once a place for nuns, a pious house and now it is empty but could become a museum. Beautiful and with a church inside.

You are allowed to take photos outside the church(convent) but inside nope.
The premises is huge place too.
You can have 20 mins visit and it is for free.
