Mas não tenho a certeza que um sítio que serve umas batatas fritas com um pedaço de carne grelhada e uns farrapos de alface, cenoura e cebola sem tempero deva chamar-se restaurante. É nestas alturas que fico a pensar se um cozinheiro se sente orgulhoso com o seu trabalho e tem prazer em cozinhar... o tipo de refeição que eu faria em casa para me despachar depois de um dia cansativo. O único sítio onde pondero sentar-me neste restaurante é na espécie de esplanada. O interior é sombrio, deprimente e com as cortinas fechadas nem sequer aproveita a vista para a rua. Vejo sempre este restaurante assim e já o conheço há muitos anos....
The food we were served was edible. But I'm not sure that a place that serves French fries with a piece of grilled meat and a few shreds of lettuce, carrot and onion without seasoning should be called a restaurant. It's at these times that I wonder if a cook is proud of his work and enjoys cooking... the kind of meal I would make at home to hurry up after a tiring day. The only place I consider sitting in this restaurant is on the terrace. The interior is gloomy, depressing and with the curtains drawn, it doesn't even enjoy the view of the street. I always see this restaurant like that and I've known it for many years...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is terrible. Let's ignore the fact that the food was subpar. Old bacalhao, weird tasting chicken, forgot half the order. Maybe they should use a writing pad to take an order? What really bothers me is purposely giving me the wrong change when I asked for two bottles of water. They took one look at me and thought, oh an American, I'll take 5 euros from this guy. Well guess what, I can count euros and dollars.
