★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not possible to reserve and had to wait long before the table. Funny fact is that the waitress seemed to speak only Portuguese when she was asked about tables, however, once seated, she spoke 4 different languages according to different customers. But food was really good and portion very generous. We wanted to order more, but the waitress advised not to (in Italian, of course! Lol!). And she was right! The pics are bacalau and pulpo. Yummy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden understated and simply great Portuguese cuisine - we stuck to seafood and fish (prawns, tuna and sea-bass) but the meat dishes passing us by looked also mouthwatering

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered large cod fish and veal steak. Unedable. Fish seemed stale and gluey. Meat was chewy and when initially served - raw. After a searing it remained as chewy as it was. We left our plates full. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were really nice but the sirloin steak was full of inedible gristle and fat and lacked flavour. I also wasn't given a steak knife so I struggled to cut through it with a butter knife. Great wine though and the vibe is really traditional and low-key. Lots of families and whatnot inside. Feels like the Portuguese version of a diner or something.
Of course, be aware that everything that comes to the table will be charged to you (couvert) so the pastel and the bread, etc. will all cost you. This isn't abnormal in Lisbon and I don't hold it against this establishment.
Overall, it's a relatively inexpensive meal but I would likely skip the steak and try the seafood if I were to go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 7 pm for dinner tonight. Plenty of room but filled up. Good was amazing, come with an appetite. Waitress was attentive, informative , suggestive. Worked like a charm. Good family portion food. All looked amazing. Tasted better.
