★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst service. In 4 hours, waitress just came once. Had to to keep asking for stuff at the bar and cary everything our selves. Coffee was nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The people at Danau are super friendly! We rented surf boards and wetsuits for 4 days with a lesson during the first day and couldn't be happier. They were very relaxed and tended to not mind if we kept the boards a bit longer than usual, this could have been since we visited during low season. Their meal of the day was also very delicious along with their yogurt bowls, amazing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow wow wow. I could happily live here. Amazingly cheap drinks and food. Location could not be better and the surf rental guy is an absolute legend. Beach offers amazing waves (lefts and rights) but works best on a high tide. Great mojitos made even better during happy hour (6-7PM)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good bar on the beach with a wide selection of drinks and snacks. There are many seats but of course if you want to enjoy the sunset, you have to get there early to get a table with a view. But what a view!!!
I only gave 4 stars for two reasons. The first one is that the waitress I dealt with did not really speak english which would be ok anywhere else (it's Portugal, not the US after all!). But here everyone will admit that it is a place for tourists so it would just make sense to make sure that the staff can communicate with the customers. And the second reason is that I slightly preffered the bar next door, Tribo de Praia :) But hey, both are great!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent beach bar, but neighboring Tribo is much better. Music hardly audible, no real beach bar vibe (maybe because of covid).
On the plus side, reasonable prices (Corona 2.50€, Imperial 1.30€). Friendly waiters, but a bit inattentive if you’re sitting outside.
Go to Tribo instead, really.
