Alentejano de gema, nascido na cidade de Beja, assistiu sempre com muito carinho às artes culinárias da sua mãe e avó, figuras de referência no seu dia-a-dia. A cozinha alentejana que defende baseia-se na descoberta constante de cheiros (dos coentros, às mentas e aos orégãos), de sabores, como o do ácido do pão alentejano, distinto de todos os outros, da rusticidade das carnes, da presença dos peixes do rio, e do fio de ouro que adorna cada prato: o azeite regional. Sem esquecer, naturalmente, a doçaria, que deixa um fim de boca doce em todas as refeições.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My S.O. and I had lunch here yesterday and I enjoyed the food & wine, the service, and interior design. What needs a lot of attention are the acoustics!
There were two men sitting about six feet from us on the same side of the restaurant. They were speaking so loudly (combined with poor acoustics), that my boyfriend and I could hardly hear each other talk. We even asked the server to discreetly ask the two men to tone it down. (We're not sure if that ever happened.)
The restaurant was only 15% full...I cannot even imagine what it's like when it's completely full. I would return if they found a way to solve this problem as it really affects the dining experience. It's a shame because everything else was actually good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good traditional food from Alentejo region, tasty and well presented. Nice decor. Professional and efficient service. At lunch time there is a good value “Menu Executivo” that includes covert, main dish (with 1 vegetarian, meat and fish option), soup or dessert, drink and coffee.

Attentive service but couldn’t explain exactly the sauce /purées are what the based on . I was taught only dill and bimis which’s a sprinkle vegetables.should’ve tell them before about my food intolerances..
Got very similar purées for starter and main dish.
