★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Douro Surf Hostel is a renovated space, new furniture, with surfing and beach theme. A super nice place to stay with excellent conditions. Helpuf staff, giving you all necessary informations and assistance. The place is always clean and well scented. They take service to the airport and laundry included. They do not have breakfast included, but have great kitchens and a super market ahead, which is even better and cheap!
The location is great! You may come from underground to General Torres or go from the hostel to the bridge D Luis walk in less than 5 minutes. The Hostel is located next to the Port wine cellars, it overlooks the entire city and arrives to walk to the harbor center in 10, 15 minutes! Excellent !
O Douro Surf Hostel é um espaço renovado, mobilia nova, com o tema surf e praia. Um local super agradável para ficar hospedado com excelentes condições. Staff atencioso, dá todas as informações e ajudas necessárias, local sempre limpo e bem cheiroso. Têm serviço de levar até ao aeroporto e lavandaria incluidos. Não têm pequeno almoço incluido, mas têm excelentes cozinhas e um super mercado à frente o que é ainda melhor!
A localização é excelente! Pode, vir de metro até General Torres ou ir do hostel à ponte D- Luis a pé em menos de 5 minutos. O Hostel fica junto às caves do vinho Porto, tem vista para toda a cidade e chega-se a andar ao centro do porto em 10, 15 minutos! Excelente !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hostel is perfect. A full kitchen and a bathroom are available per room (dormitory of 6 people for me). It is located in the Villa de Gaia, very close to the river and the bridge to go to downtown Porto. The staff is also very welcoming and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Becareful about staying here. My room had bed bugs. The hostel refunded my money (the least they should do), but they could have done more to help me clean my clothes and suitcase.i left douro with red bites all over my body,especially my arms. It's very irresponsible of them not to be trying harder to get rid of the bugs as now I, and everyone else at the hostel, am at risk of spreading the bugs to other hostels/hotels/homes. I wish I had never stayed here as bed bugs are a nightmare to deal with.
If it had not been for the bed bugs I would have given this place a better review as it's a nice hostel with a good location but alas.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunatelly it was not possible to attend any surfing lessons during my stay. Because i booked the surf Hostel to learn how to surf i tried to cancel my further reservations. Unfortunatelly it was not possible. Therefore i can just give you 2 stars.
The Hostel itself is very nice, clean and the breakfast was nice too. So please guys just be a little more understanding with your customers! if you call yourself a surf Hostel and you Dont offer any surfing lessons, try to understand that this might lead to confusion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best hostel in oporto for real. It have the best views of the river, the best prices of rooms, the best price of surf classes, perfect atention like an hotel with kitchen and bathrooms in the rooms. A really recomended place to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here last summer when my friend and I did a trip around Portugal and forgot to leave a review. Just remembered now because I was thinking about how amazing this place was again!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with helping us understand the area and best places to visit! The owner was also extremely kind. She prepared complimentary breakfast for us which is provided for all guests and were very gracious as my friend and I were quite hungry and even had seconds! Would definitely recommend staying here - it was safe, clean, and quite close to the main busy streets! Only a bit of a walk away which was what we liked as we got to see various sights that we may not have been able to see if we were only located right in the middle of tourist area!!

The location could be a bit better, but it's still pretty close to the interesting stuff.
