★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible experience. I had the keratin treatment done. Two stars for polite staff and a clean, well set-up space. Unfortunately the actual hairdressing was a very bad experience for me. Firstly, the treatment was incomplete. It is a three step process, the hairstylist only completed two steps. I did not know it is a three step process until after the treatment was done and I got home to research the product. Secondly, she did not know how to detangle curly hair, never- mind Afro-curly hair! My hair was forcefully detangled with a fine-tooth comb after being clarified and wildly blowdried. Needless to say there was a lot of damage done. Thirdly, the flat- ironing step was horrible. She did not detangle and comb through the hair before flat-ironing, so just passed a hot flat iron over knotted hair! Even when flat-ironing straight hair you have to at least comb through the hair before flat ironing! She also took thick pieces of hair at a time- this is bad even when just normally straightening hair, but so much worse when doing any Keratin treatment. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I have to try help others avoid this experience, because damaged hair is hard to fix and takes a long time to grow out. I hope this review helps others.
