É uma escola que terá uns 15/20 anos que ja teve os seus momentos áureos. Actualmente, pertence ao agrupamento de escolas da bemposta que mais parece um parente pobre do mesmo, muito esquecida e muito marginalizada pelas próprias autoridades competentes. Valem-nos os seus professores, auxiliares e demais funcionários, que de uma forma estoica tentam levar cada ano lectivo a bom porto.
