Op de Torre vrij kaal, maar wel het gevoel op de top van de wereld te staan. Nu voorjaar 2022 geen sneeuw, dus liften staan stil. Wel après ski muziek uit het restaurant?. Beautiful route towards the Torre. Lots of stops with nice views. Also special is the carved Madonna at 1800 meters. On the Torre quite bare, but the feeling of being on top of the world. No snow now in the spring of 2022, so lifts are standing still. However, après ski music from the restaurant ?.

Faz parte da mais vasta cordilheira denominada Sistema Central, no subsistema designado como sistema montanhoso Montejunto-Estrela, que se desenvolve no sentido sudoeste-nordeste desde a serra de Montejunto, e o seu cume-pai é o Pico de Almançor. A serra da Estrela é uma zona de paisagem integrada no Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela, que após a sua constituição em 16 de Julho de 1976 se instituiu como a maior área protegida em solo português. Serra da Estrela, located in the Centro region (Beiras Region), designates the mountain range where the highest altitudes of mainland Portugal are found. Its highest point, with 1993 meters of altitude and called Torre, makes it the second highest mountain in Portugal (only the Pico Mountain, in the Azores, surpasses it by 358 meters). It forms part of the widest mountain range called the Central System, in the subsystem called the Montejunto-Estrela mountain system, which develops in the southwest-northeast direction from the Montejunto mountain range, and its parent peak is the Pico de Almançor. The Serra da Estrela is a landscape area integrated in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, which after its constitution on July 16, 1976 was established as the largest protected area on Portuguese soil.
