Quando esperamos tem um senão, demoramos um pouco mais a ser atendidos que noutras farmácias, mas quando somos atendidos percebemos o porquê, todos muito atenciosos e explicam tudo, um atendimento top. My favorite pharmacy. When we wait, there is a problem, it takes a little longer to be attended to than in other pharmacies, but when we are assisted we understand why, everyone is very attentive and explains everything, a top service.

J	Jen L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first time entering a Portuguese pharmacy since moving here in July. I walked in and saw one customer ahead of me. I waited through their long discussion, and then several others walked in. I didn’t know that pharmacies here have a number system and I didn’t take one. When another pharmacist walked out I went toward the counter, but then she called a number. When I realized what happened and the guy behind me looked surprised, I said, “I didn’t get a number” to which she said, “Then you should’ve gotten one.” She (Filipa, I think) was very rude to me. I do speak Portuguese (after living in Brazil for 3 years prior-where the pharmacies did NOT have a number system), but I didn’t bother since she was already treating me like a stupid foreigner. Turns out this highly rated pharmacy doesn’t take foreign credit cards either... I’m finding that a lot here. I don’t understand how a European country (which I thought would more advanced than Brazil) seems so behind on many things. I won’t be returning to this pharmacy, but that’s ok, because we’re moving to a different location in Lisbon next month.

We’d heard horror stories of terrible service, delays and missed flights by those thinking that getting a test done at Lisbon airport several hours before your flight is a great idea. So we decided to find a local pharmacy and chose Farmacia Alvide based on another recent review praising their testing services. So glad we did. Went this past Monday morning around 11:30, got a ticket and within 5 minutes was attended to by Dr. Gina who spoke perfect English and made the process smooth and pleasant. Fifteen minutes and 20 euro each later we had our negative tests in hand and by e-mail. Plus, while you’re waiting, the pharmacy has a nice selection of products, there’s a Pingo Doce supermarket next door if you need plane snacks or a cafe across the street. Do yourself a favor by going here to ease the stress of travel and have your test done so you can enjoy your last moments in Portugal :)
