★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Este podia ser uma excelente localização de um pequeno ou grande aeroporto que estava bem localizado para trazer os peregrinos estrangeiros ao santuário de Fátima. Este também tinha tudo feito para dar apoio aos meios aéreos de combate a incêndio visto que estava numa excelente localização. Pois é pena os nossos governantes deste nosso país não ver isto e agora está a ser usada a pista para um estaleiro de blocos de pedra
This could be an excellent location for a small or large airport that was well placed to bring foreign pilgrims to the sanctuary of Fatima. This one also had everything done to support the aerial firefighting means as it was in an excellent location. It is a pity that our rulers of this country of ours did not see this and now the runway for a stone block yard is being used

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a beautiful place and what a waste ? Fatima is the crown of Portugal and a legend of over a billion catholic population all over the world. If this airport was functional the fate of Portugal would have been different , with more influx of pilgrims and a revival of economy. I always wonder why such lethargy is shown in important matter that concerns the very existance of a country in these difficult times. Imagine a good busy airport and a train link to UK , and this country will be very different.
