★ ★ ★ ★ ★ CAUTION! The surf instructor Pedro shows the worst face of localism.
I am all for "Respect the locals", but this was impossible with this guy. We were only 4 people in the water. When only showing the slightest intent to paddle for any wave, he told me to step back - he was literally telling me that he is taking every wave. Finally, I was able to catch a wave when he was paddling back into the line-up again, which resulted in him screaming at me, swearing and making understand that I should get lost. I am pretty sure that he would have used violence if I had stayed. By the way, the whole thing unfolded while he was teaching 2 surf students.
Support the locals, but please not this local.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to Ferrel Surfhouse expecting to improve my surf skills. I left with so much more - 1,5 week of laughter, carefree atmosphere and an absolute satisfaction of the classes in the water. Rui corrected my bad habits in surfing and made it clear what I have to work
on. He was honest about my mistakes, behavior in the water and with other surfers, but he also appreciated the good moments of surf. I can't wait to be back in the house, have a bbq again, chat with Ana in the kitchen and stare at the sun from the balcony. I left part of me there - thank you Great People so much and see you soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i had an amazing time at ferrel surf house and definitely want to come back asap! it's super clean, cozy and the team is more than amazing. i was a total beginner in surfing but thanks to rui i was introduced to the joy and magical feeling of catching a wave. hope to be back soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're are looking for an authentic, small, family run surfers accommodation, Ferrel Surfhouse is just perfect. The place is decorated with a lot of love, the people working there are so welcoming and heartily, so Ferrel Surfhouse feels like your home. Rui, one of the best surf instructors I know, pushes your surfing skills to a new level, he gives so much confidence in the water, always has a smile on his face and wants you to seriously improve your surfing and have fun in the water at the same time. Ruu, even though I said to you, I don't like coming back to the same place twice, I'll return for sure!

I can't recommend enough Ferrel Surf House, a place where Rui & the team built a family-like atmosphere, where you can enjoy a home made BBQ near the pool or where you can go beyond your limits and adventure into the ocean waves. The surf lessons are intensive and allow for a quick progression. The surf instructors are very patient, give lots of tips and focus on each student. Rui, Pedro & Kim - thank you and see you soon!

Compared to other surf schools, they are really structured, prepared and focused on you during the lessons and when you are a beginner this is the most important thing! Ferrel surf house is not only surfing but is also spending nice moments with right people :)

Rui, Ana and Pedro are all amazing hosts and the format of the surf lessons is second to none. Every time I come I get better at surfing and meet more new lovely people from all around the world. I can’t recommend this place enough!
