★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience. The local Guide José Manuel provided us with a fantastic tour with many historic details and ancient stories. This is one of the most important strongholds of Portugal and helped resist to several invasions over centuries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A world cultural heritage! If you have many couples days , it's worth a look . Although there are few tourists here. A quiet military fortress! Dutch model military fortress design! Especially the tunnel is really interesting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another fort with a lot of history, albeit being small than Forte da Nossa Senhora da Graça. Guided tours available by a pleasant old timer who knows the adventures of the fort better than anyone else. In this one, you can actually venture through some tunnels used during war times to connect the fort with the city, even if they don’t go very far…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful and interesting place to visit, it’s a small city but the visit is worth it, you will see a little piece of history in here, I don’t wanna spoil anything to you, you must go! Here are a few pics of the place, it’s free! If you like travelling and visiting unknown places maybe this is a really one good stop.
