★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Um bom exemplo de conservação do património nacional -este Forte servia de a segunda linha defensiva do sistema defensivo das Linhas de Torres. A vista sobre o vale do rio Lizandro é maravilhosa e ao pôr do sol é espetacular!
Vale a pena a visita!
A good example of conservation of the national heritage - this Fort served as the second defensive line of the defensive system of the Linhas de Torres. The view over the Lizandro river valley is wonderful and at sunset it is spectacular!
It's worth the visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a fort built to avoid the Napoleonic invasions in Portugal, or at least to help stop the French...it's part of the defense system known as Fortes das Linhas de Torres and, personally, it's the best preserved one!! Love it and it is filled with history! Enjoy ☺️
