★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O Forte do Grilo é um Forte de planta polígono irregular com acentuado escarpamento no lado norte. Construido a 65 metros de altitude foi concebido para uma estrutura de 350 soldados. Defendia o Vale do rio Sizandro e a estrada de ligação a Mafra sob o comando do Tenente General Thomas Picton fazendo fogo cruzado com o forte do Pombal número 138 a bateria da Bordinheira número 139 e o reduto do Outeiro do Monte.
The Cricket Fort is an irregular polygon plant fort with steep escarpment on the north side. Built at 65 meters altitude it is designed for a structure of 350 soldiers. It defended the Sizandro River Valley and the Mafra connecting road under Lieutenant General Thomas Picton by cross-fire with the 138th Pombal fort, the 139th Boundary battery and the Outeiro do Monte stronghold.
