★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is an amazing museum. It is the house where Amalia lived for about 40 years. Also, Amália’s parrot, known as Chico, lives in the kitchen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They preserved all the furniture and the decorations as it was before ad this was amazing to feel that I go through the same way as Amalia did and see the same things. I was quiet interested about the details of her personal life as she grew and the guide had absolute knowledge in details about her life. It was a pity that I could not take picture of inside the house as they did not allow it but only the reception and the yard was allowed. I highly recommend this museum especially for Fado lovers. The entrance is 6.5 euros and the discount is only for students under 25 years old.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was ok. The tour was rushed in english. I wasn't really an Amalia fan before going in, and I wouldn't say I learned much more than that she was a very successful fadista and toured the world. It felt like a very 'sanitised' glamorous history of her life, I'm sure there were some times of conflict in her life coming from a working class background to fame and I would have loved to know a bit about the adversity she overcame. No real mention about her relationships or what she was actually like, other than basically just a very good singer and a very religious woman. Would only recommend if you're already interested in Amalia.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must see when walking on the fado path I Lisbon! I got a very personal guiding there explaining so many fascinating details out of Amalia's life. Everything is preserved exactly in the way she left it passing away in 1998 - including her parrot ? who's still alive...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I passed by on the bus, and I got curious, so we decided to learn more about Amália and visit her house. For €7/each, we got a guided tour of the house, and sat in the lovely garden. It was informative and we could even ask where to see a good Fado concert in the evening. I'd recommend going. It's not allowed to take pictures in the house.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went for the fado concert Saturday at 3:30, and is really worth it! Small concert, not crowded, you can also order a coffee, wine, anything while you are watching the performance.
It is in the patio of the house so it's really nice, If you have fever you can buy the tickets there but I'm sure you can also buy them in the place. But do it in advance because there isn't a lot of people and it's full!
If you don't know Portuguese don't worry about it, they will make you fill part and will do small intersections with the audience saying "now in English" but I don't want to spoiled anything more. Just go!
