T	Thomas Hofman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place, cool people. Breakfast is amazing, staff makes delicious pancakes! The hostel is located in Bairro Alto, close to the bars, so if you like to go out, this place is perfect!
R	Randolf van Vugt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Basically, this hostel offers good value for a reasonable price. The biggest plus is also the biggest minus, its location! In the middle of the old town and surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants it is convenient situated, also close to other interesting venues. All this goes with a constant high noise level during the evening and night, so earplugs are highly recommended. I had a bed in a shared dorm, three men and one woman, making the last one feeling uncomfortable. This is not a good thing ofcourse. The dorm as such is okay, but individual lights and a simple rack are missing, so you really don't know where to put your phone or little stuff during the night. This shared room is directly connected to the main room which is used for the common breakfast and becomes noisy around 08h00 when the personnel starts preparing the breakfast, accompanied with loud music. Long sleeping is impossible, even with earplugs! The staff is friendly, one evening they offered me to join their dinner and drink a glass of wine with them. Overall the place is okay for two or three nights and worth its price.
V	Viveka Bergström on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly is the word, but noisy! I just spent 4 nights in the room just over the bar downstairs, playing load music until 2 in the morning. I learned how to sleep even in heavy noise. It actually worked. The room is very nicely decorated, the bed was huge and comfortable, all very clean and the staff is really nice. It feels like being with friends, so the name is very suitable. The pankake ritual in the morning is a must. The service is perfect and professional, bathrooms fine.

The room I had was great for the money, bed was comfortable, the bathrooms were clean at all times. You'll be surprised by how great the breakfast is - the staff will make pancakes for you and maybe even teach you some history about your own country :D The athmosphere is great and you can always go to the common rooms and hang out with people , they may also offer you dinner and some wine or invite you on a night out in town. + You can print for free at the hostel.

I was super surprised on how cozy this place is and the people working there are super friendly. My stay was short but sweet. I would definitely use this place again if I need a short stay in Lisbon. They even make some breakfast for you, love it!

The rooms are specious, clean and modern. The breakfast provided is REALLY good and the staff makes some awesome pancakes! There is also a relaxing feeling about the whole hostel, and people staying there often interact with each other! Also, for the ladies, they have hairdryers if needed in the reception! Would totally come back!
D	D J on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly Hills was an excellent stay for me--close to many stores and restaurants, an easy walk to the metro, easy Uber pickups, and --surrounded-- by a variety of bars. Everyday during breakfast, I was able to strike up a conversation with people from different countries, so it's a great place to stay if you like meeting other travellers. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially during the well-stocked breakfast. It was great to converse with and get to know them, as well. The staff changes occasionally, so -your- mileage may vary. But for me, it was a great stay, and I'm glad to have met all the people I did.

The staff was extremely friendly and thoughtful; they gave us great recommendations for places to visit and hang out at, and they even joined us! The location is also very good - in the middle of Bairro Alto, full of bars and restaurants. I'd come back to this hostel every time I visit Lisbon.
