It is Galp's current practice to require prepayment. It happens at all stations.
As I usually attest to the car, the suggestion that is given to me is to pay in advance in an amount above, so that at the end of the supply, they will return the difference.
In addition to wasting time, you don't trust the customer and expect the customer to trust you. I don't see this bad practice in any more business, if I go to the supermarket, pharmacy, doctor, restaurants, hotels, etc. I only pay at the end!
As I find this treatment aberrant, I started going to Repsol. I attestation and paid in the end. Simple and practical!
Pay before fueling? It's just idiots... Do they pay before you go out to dinner too?
