The are completely knowledgable about their wines and are there to assist in anyway they can. And you won't find a friendlier place to shop wine, talk about wine or simply visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good and easy to reach place for reasonably priced, excellent Portuguese wines and spirits near the Cruz de Celas area. Prices for wines are similar to supermarkets, prices for spirits slightly higher, but if you are not familiar with Portuguese wines and spirits, the staff (the two younger ones speak fluent English) will offer you good advice. Don’t feel shy to mention if your price range is €10, €8, or less and the staff will point you towards excellent choices in these ranges. Their strength are regional (Bairrada) wines and wines from the Douro and Dâo regions. Bairrada also offers some excellent sparkling wines at attractive prices (try sparkling wines based on the Baga grape). Roadside parking may be limited, but the store opens early, when parking is easier, and there is also a bus stop opposite the store. For orders over €70 the store will deliver free within Portugal, but once they know you as a customer they will also deliver for free within Coimbra for lesser amounts.
