I visited the salon today to get an infill for my hard gel nails and gel polish on my toes, with Viviane (@nailsby_viviane). It was the most positive nail experience I've had in a long time. She was ready at the time I booked for and I went straight into the service. From the jump, she had a good energy about her and was very sweet and humble throughout the treatment - ensuring I'm comfortable, apologizing at even the slightest inconvenience for me, and reassuring me it's okay if I accidentally smudged something. All without any pressure for me to engage in conversation. She also didn't hurt my cuticles at all which is really rare for me. A lot of nail technicians are quite rough and I end up in pain and bleeding, but in this case it's all impeccable. She's quick, meticulous, and skilled in all aspects - I was able to just lay back and relax, since she made it evident she knew what she was doing. This is a stark contrast from a lot of my other experiences (even at salons with a larger following) where I had to pay close attention to ensure my preferences were being catered to, and then deal with an arrogant and dismissive tone when I expressed concern. Although I came in looking for plain colour, I ended up going with a French tip on both my hands and feet. I said I wanted a French tip but to keep it delicate and tasteful even though they're on long nails, and she understood the assignment immediately without me having to even show a picture. I was also presented with options I hadn't even thought of before, like many different neutral pinks for my base and unique polish layering strategies to get different effects. It was clear Viviane likes to do an excellent job and wouldn't settle for the bare minimum. My pedicure was as flawless as my hands and she even added a little bit of acrylic to my big toe at no extra cost, without being asked, to ensure the shape was exactly to my liking. The atmosphere at the rest of the salon was also good: super clean, background music at a low volume, no loud chatter, and any discussions amongst the team (who clearly have great relationships with each other) in the presence of customers were kept light-hearted. I didn't hear a single negative topic be brought up nor did I hear any gossip about other customers. I definitely recommend booking with Viviana if you're looking for a reliable nail artist in central Lisbon!
