GoJuu aims at gathering those who have learned this art-form of cooking with him, as well as those who learned to eat and appreciate the traditional gastronomy, a pillar of the Japanese culture.

We have no intention of being more than GoJuu. AYA can never be replaced due to the absence of the Master, of his Talent, of his Art, but also of his special way of making himself humble with “his thousand-words-worth” … smile. But we have aimed at gathering “his people”, use “his recipes” prepared by his “disciples”, served in “his porcelain” – and be greeted by the person he trusted the most, his faithful Carmen.

We booked a table for 20:30, ordered two starting plates and one main plate, which didn’t arrive until 21:45 and 22:00 respectively. Food wasn’t enough, we tried to order more, and were informed that the kitchen had closed, left feeling hungry. The staff were inattentive and unapologetic about the situation.

The menu offers different plates like sushi, maki, grilled vegetables, fish, gyoza, sashimi, and others Ambiance is really nice, well decorated, clean, service is super good, and you can seat at the sushi bar to see chefs preparing dishes with fresh products I personally recommend the grilled eggplant : it was just amazing.

The sushi rice is perfectly made and ingredients are very fresh. The talented and ingenious sushi-chefs keep the tradition of sushi-making and present the plate with an artistic touch. I am from Japan, and I love this restaurant!

S	Susan Zhang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really really really good sushi. The gyoza had amazingly thin wrappers, and tasted much more delicate as a result. The chirashi had every kind of sashimi and more. The ice cream tasted so fresh - ginger had ginger in it, black sesame had sesame in it, and matcha had matcha in it. I also ordered 300ml of sake, which might’ve been a bit too much for me, but it went really well with the rest of the meal. And lastly, the toro nigiri was absolutely dreamy. It melts in your mouth like butter, and is such a treat when I’m able to find it. 10/10 would recommend. The sushi sashimi combos seemed to be a better deal, so I would probably go for that next time. I also called ahead for reservations, and kept asking for availability until they had a seat free (called on Thursday, seated for Saturday). I’m sure I also lucked out since we’re still coming out of a pandemic, so be sure to reserve early if you’re in the area.

The quality of the fish blew me away - melt in your mouth toro and salmon. And the hand made gyoza were perfectly crispy and savory. The staff were amazing as well. Highly recommended.
