M	Matthew McNulty on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whatever you do, take your money and find somewhere else, also read the reviews for this hotel and you'll notice the response from the hotel is copy and pasted and most of the reviews are complaints. I would give this 0 stars if I could. It was like a maze to find reception and when I said it to reception I was answered back rudely "No, it's so easy". The room I got compared to the photos online did not match up at all. So I paid for an upgrade and the view was the only improvement. Lamps were dirty in both rooms. Paint peeling off the walls and broken tiles. Yellow dirty water. My AC broke 3 times. Far from a 5 star hotel. Woke up with neck pains every morning, I did not even have 1 good nights sleep as the beds were uncomfortable and not enough pillows provided. There is incredible potential for this place but it needs refurbishment and staff needs customer support/relations training. I felt like an inconvenience to the staff all the time and a guest should never feel like that. Will never stay again and have already told my relatives who usually stay (and actually recommended this place to me) and they wont be back either.

It is time for a refurbishment, lots of chips and cracks visible, not a huge issue for me as this was a free holiday but the hotel is not 5 star. Why MGM feel that a hotel in Portugal needs an Indian look in reception is beyond me, however if you think that "the strip" is great i doubt whether you care much about the heritage of the area. If you are looking for Portugal it can still be found in Albufeira....but you will need to make an effort!
L	Lou H-man on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant self catering apartment close to the beach. Apartment was very spacious, kitchen was well equipped and balcony had a great view over the pool area. It's a very big complex so the pool was crowded every day. The pool area is quite dangerous with unsupervised diving platforms and a water slide converging into a plunge pool. There is a small supermarket on site where you can buy fresh bread and pastries daily.

However it's starting to look very tired, dated and neglected and could do with some work to spruce the place up a bit. Rooms very tidy though just looking run down a bit in places, pool area needs a lot of work too. It was sad to see how run down its become since our stay in 2019, possibly due to neglect because of Covid 19 and hardly being open for 2 years.
M	Meileng Byrne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The resort has fantastic location, beside the sea and beach with restaurants nearby and back exit takes you out right at the top of the Strip. The staff are pleasant and helpful although there appears to be a language barrier for some staff as I had to ask a number of times for something. Their reason for taking so long was that someone was not able to understand or the message was not passed along. I was disappointed to find out the health centre and indoor pool is closed which was not mentioned when I booked and this was a main reason for picking this resort. The decor in the apartment is pleasant but dated and could do with being upgraded. I stayed at this resort almost 20 years ago and nothing has changed since then. The pillow in the beds were comfortable which is a plus.

Receptionist on arrival told us best way to get around complex in wheelchair very helpful. Room nice and clean, pleased to see some painting going on to freshen up the exterior. Not the hotels fault but the area is not best place to stay if you are wheelchair user, pavements and roads not the best, narrow and cambers everywhere but we managed.
C	Chris Stocks on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Massive self catering apartment just off the beach. Very clean and excellent attention on room servicing. What it lacks in age is made up in space, location, staff attentiveness and the fact that so many bars and restaurants are in very short safe walking distance. Then there’s the beach which (if you’re agile and daring enough) has a coastal path which joins up with the old town although you can get there using either the pavements, in about 30minutes, or the road train. Taxi journeys and buses are very easy and reasonably priced to neighbouring towns.
M	Meditation Relaxing Music on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been staying here for a few days now and got a good feel for the hotel and complex. We've got a really nice room, modern with its own kitchen, lounge area with sea views and a balcony, it also overlooks the pool the hotel has everything up and running. We've made good use of the sauna, it's a bit chilly for the pool but it's well maintained. The hotel is run smoothly and Staff are really helpful and pleasant. the food is very good quality Its a really good hotel, probably aimed more at families and those looking for an experience that includes sports on the Ocean Overall, a very good experience.
