★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good value at €75/ night incl bfast which was extensive. A little noisy adjacent to Casini. Very convenient location. Friendlt staff. Toilet not working.. but itherwise all ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well located hotel in centre of town next to maritime walkway and beaches. Only 5 km walk to Vila do Conde which is worth visiting. Next to Casino which is a must visit too.Comfortable,clean, modern & spatious bedroom and very friendly & helpful staff. Good breakfast. Perfect for pilgrims on the Portuguese Coastal Way who like their comforts!

Side rooms near casino lighted by casino’s neon banner all night. So either you suffocate with closed by heavy curtain window or unsleeping due to high light from casino.
Very bad coffee at breakfast.
Better drink tea or juice. Breakfast is good.
Rooms are small but clean and comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ hated it. check in was like for a prison cold discourteous . decor gives a new dimension to bland just awful. the down stairs bar apparently is owned by a different crowd and only takes Portuguese cards the whole place is a dump

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel was less grand and more bland. I was disappointed that there was no restaurant open (it was March) and so the hotel really offered nothing other than a bed and breakfast. The room was functional, but bland. Some of the lighting didn't work. It didn't seem 4-star to me. On the other hand, the young men at reception were super helpful and the breakfast was great. I particularly appreciated the baked beans and fresh tomatoes :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I genuinely don't understand how this is a 4 star hotel, I have stayed at 3 stars that are nicer than this. They said they renovated 3 years ago, what did they actually do? Bathrooms look like they are from the 70s with mold and yellowing tiles, whole room is dark and musky. Air Conditioning didn't work (blowing out hot air even though it was on lowest temp) and had to open a window at 5:40 AM cause the room felt stuffy and hot. Staff are unfriendly, and parking in this area is a mess. They do this "renovation" yet the only nice area is the lobby. The sink in the room provides the smallest amount of water at the highest pressure possible, and my toilet seat didn't touch the rim of the toilet until you sat down on it. Seems like the money went towards these TVs that look like mirrors when they turn off. They also limit the amount of devices you can connect to wifi. Overall this hotel is a mess, stay somewhere else.
