★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fado was fantastic and a really polished performance. The setting was excellent. We felt the food and wine however were highly over priced and very average. Basically you are paying for the show. Eat and drink before you go

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very long waiting time - the staff doesn't work during fado concerts. It means we were served only in between. Next had to wait for a bill again for singer to stop singing - I asked for a quick bill as my kids were tired but it was ignored.
Food quality - average. Not bad but without a wow effect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is decent though portions are fine dinning size not Portuguese sized as you would find anywhere else. You are paying for the performances via menu as no cover is charged. The performances were charming though the first couple of singers were not the best. The guitarist solos were wonderful and they save the best for last ( Dona Cristina is someone to watch/listen for). Expect to spend at least 40 euros per person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super quiet Tuesday night, so it was hard to picture what it would be like with the fado when full. But the food and wine was good and the service slow but lovely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Antonio, the fado singer and Nelson, our waiter shared the beauty of fado, the meaning behind the songs and how fado is created and performed and how depending on the singers mood and the guitarists improvisation you get a different version of the songs each time, while the instruments follow the singer. You could feel the true emotion come pouring out of the performers as though they’re performing to us personally for the first time. I’m glad we came here and managed to absorb and really feel this part of Portuguese culture and identity. Cristina Madeira’s powerful performance gave us goosebumps, and we don’t speak Portuguese fluently.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good place to come if you’re looking for a fado music experience. However in spite of all the good reviews, this turned out to be a not so great meal… grilled fish was way too salty, the mains didn’t come with sides, and the prices were super expensive (86€ for a starter, two mains, a small glass of wine and a glass of beer). Wouldn’t come again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place and atmosphere. It wasn’t too busy on a Thursday so it felt like an even more personal experience. Antonio was a great singer and encouraged singalongs. The waiter Nelson was very attentive with drink recommendations. The music was great and I would definitely visit again.
