★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice, relaxed and cozy place. Rooms were a bit small even if we had booked a family room only for 2 adults. The public areas were however spacious and lot of places to lounge about and relax. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place to stay then definitely recommended. Mind thought that the road to hotel is a dirt road and a bit bumby so have to have care and patience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a hostel pretending its a fancy hotel. A disaster. Low cost decoration, no wifi or network. Embarrasing service, dirty, terrible food. Difficult to find worse. No wonder they were the only ones available during this period. Empty actually. Prices versus quality are nuts. Most overrated place i've ever been. They offered us an upgrade to a private new area that was even worse than the normal one. The rooms are some metal containers and the restaurante is a joke. Breakfast is served inside a box with mini portions of small jars. It's embarrasing. Really bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice Resort in Nature - off the track. The garden and atmosphere were great. Unfortunately the value for money ratio was the worst in our whole Portugal vacation. 140€ for a double room, dinner was 32€ (food was good but nothing special and also not a lot). The staff was nice but didn’t pay much attention so I was annoyed by paying that much money. The WiFi was just available in the common area.
If you don’t care about money it might be a perfect place to relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed for 4 nights in the deluxe family farm house. In General the place has its own charm with farm feel interior with a rustic twist. The pool was decent with pretty background of the house and flowers. Staff were helpful. However with the pricing we paid We definitely think it’s way overpriced for the value it offers. The food was rather average, very limited choices and drinks were extremely expensive. On the website it mentioned about the animals, horse riding, it’s rather cheeky as the horse are not for ridding only for looking. If you want to do any horse ridding is a 11km away from the property.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is hard for me to review. Simply because there are no words to describe how lovely it is. The trails, food, staff, accommodations, beds, light —everything was magical.
The most magical part of it all to us was: The dogs. There are beautiful sweet dogs that come to greet you that are sweet and goofy and one mama had just had babies. I fell in love with a puppy! Best place I have ever stayed in my life. Thank you for everything

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a fantastic 5 night stay at Herdade da Mathina. Excellent food (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The staff was always friendly and helpful. The property is off the beaten path and so it is very quiet and private. They even have an area for remote working, which was fantastic. We will be back for sure.
