Signs on the entrance are very misleading, stating "private property, no entrance" in english and Portugese, but these signs are behind the fenceline and only placed there to scare away curious drivers. Road CM 1061 is a public road maintained by the municipality of Alcácer do Sal and the public has the right to enter and proceed to the bay, despite ingenious and intimidating signs.
