An old palace converted into Pousada da Juventude. Some renovations are needed and there is no parking lot, so only 4 stars for that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful old building that has been restored and setup as a great youth hostel. It sits right in the middle of the old leather district of Guimarães. The people were fantastic and the rooms clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great staff. Very friendly and polite. Excellent location. BF was quite ok. Free parking in the premisses. Only the mattress was not that good. Overall exceeded the expectations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bells start early (8am) and seem to chime every 15 minutes. The showers are stop-start and continuously need to be pushed, all the while flooding the bathroom. Breakfast is very plain. Location is good but the pool table has a big roll bias on it.
