Amazing location Very poor restaurant with small dishes and difficultues to remember 4 dishes. On top of that 40min waiting time in an empty restaurant.. Nice spa and fitness

My partner and I have spent a week there and were really disappointed. The place is run down - especially the bathrooms where horrible and looked moldy with a rank smell. The food was mediocre and not at all what you would expect a 4 star hotel to serve. I had to purchase a pillow because the pillows there were so thin and used that you would simply sink in without any support. Furthermore, we were forced to get up super early every day to make our breakfast slot at 8.30am. I understand that slots where given due to Covid restrictions. However, I am pregnant and on my babymoon and I had to get up super early every day to get breakfast. I did not appreciate this as it did not feel like a holiday this way. On top of that, we were advised that we could only use the pool for 1.5hours and then need to leave to make space for other people. Again due to the Covid restrictions. It would have been nice if that was advertised when booking because we would have not booked it if we would have knows that we cannot use the pool and that we were assigned a slot for breakfast. The staff was nice - that is the only positive. I am very upset we wasted a lot of money on this place.

Most of the staff is friendly, rooms are ok and 3-4 star standard, partly offering a stunning view of the sea; big minus is the food : practically no vegetarian options - and people : vegetarian does not mean steamed vegetables ! - Eggs for breakfast at 8 o’clock cold, bread selection sad and the rest of the food not more than ok, what a pity !

Enjoyed our stay, pool and gym were lovely, staff ok, room ok. Room bathrooms need bleaching to remove traces of mould. It's a simple job, only lazy not to follow the many complaints below about the same thing.

The room was big enough and the mini-kitchen a nice bonus. Sadly everything was a bit dated, which also cause the bathroom to have a typical "old smell". Parking and breakfast was included and quite good.

What a sad state of affairs!!! Before I explain why this hotel deserves less than one star, it's important I recognise individual staff members for their 5+star service. The massage ladies, (Tatiana & Cátia) are exceptional. Professional,  friendly, and very good at their jobs! They get 10 stars! Now to the stay....This is my 3rd time staying here (my boyfriends 4th!) The first time was exceptional and lived up to 5 star expectations. 2nd time was questionable, but the beautiful, friendly staff made up for it! There's only a couple of those staff members that remain. It is evident there has been a change in management/ ownership. The company does not care if you're a returning & loyal customer. You barely get a friendly welcome. Everything is stock standard. It's not difficult to make people feel welcome. Hotel is practically empty but we were put in a room (see pic) staring at a wall. We requested to move straight away and were given another room. But we had to go check it our ourselves. ZERO customer service. The man at the front desk couldn't care less. He also told me I could swim in the outside pool, which I did...and this was retracted the following day.  Which is not surprising because the pool is not upkept. So I have no idea what sess pool of bacteria I swam in. Excuse... low season. Which is odd. Guests still have to look at it!!! The stairs are green. Not pretty. General maintenance and upkeep of the hotel is very poor. It's really sad to see after experiencing this place in its original 5star form. The spa area was gross. The spa was at 29degrees (human body is approx 37), so it's cold. When we informed front lady (not the one with the glasses coz she is consistently lovely!) she came and checked, with attitude, but never came back, never measured the temp/ pH levels... just terrible. The steam room wasn't working and stunk, and the dry sauna was temperamental. The beautiful smells that once existed just don't! No essential oils or stuff you expect in a spa! And where are you supposed to access drinking water? That's health and safety 101 next to a sauna. What a tragic downfall of what appears to be the result of terrible business management! Look after YOUR staff first and foremost, and they will look after YOUR customers... the people that fill your pocket so you can pay their wages. If you don't look after your people first, this is the result. It's all the little things that add up. No water in room. Aircon not working. Wine glasses different sizes. We checked out a day early. Sadly doubt we will return. Not good enough!!! 3 star hotel. 1 star stay.

It's geared to family, the spa is small, and the interior swimming pool not enough for all the guests. The corridors are tight and claustrophobic. Not enough information about the location of the amenities inside the hotel. Breakfast was quite good. The rooms were ok.

We have been clients of this beautiful hotel for many years. This hotel has excellent facilities and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is really good. I found the buffet dinner on Saturday be abit of a disappointment. There aren't many dishes for those that don't eat meat.
