★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to sleep when visiting Peneda Geres national park. Park is located in the Norte region, in the northwest of Portugal, and is certified by PAN Parks as the best of Europes Wilderness. Hotel is clean, and has free WiFi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quiet, almost rural setting. Attractive building, with a nice common area. The people were very helpful, suggesting a GPS fix for my bike. They took extra care to look out for my bike, too, reminding me when I left my helmet sitting out. Local directions given were helpful. And they are right in the middle of 4 nice cafes, and several good restaurants. Only thing I did not like, the toilet position had your chin hanging over the sink!

from a comfort pwerspective this used to be a 3* hotel; currently, in my opinion, it is a little below 2*
