★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room was hot. We opened the windows and had to fight mosquitoes all night long. We did not sleep. The breakfast was mediocre and overpriced. Overall we were very disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel must have been a solid five star on its Glory days, now it seems maintenance was kept to a minimum while only the core services were left functioning. Also very poor accessibility if you have a wheelchair or a baby don't come please.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Portuguese do shabby chic very well and this is a great example. Rooms are spacious and clean with nice vintage furniture. And the breakfast was a delight. Never had such a fresh selection of breads, sweets and fresh fruit salad. The location is in a quiet and idyllic spot next to a lake with plenty of ducks to watch while relaxing on the empty beach. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it to all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely hated this place. Ended up here because of my travel companion but for me the standards are far too low. Roughly a 2 star hotel and not been upgraded in 20 years. Old, very old! No go for me as to run down. Staff is very friendly and tries their best and is the plus for this accommodation.
