★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the moment you arrive at Quinta das Lagrimas, you are welcomed and treated like family.
The old quarter is mesmerising with its romantic history, and beautiful ambience.
The rooms are comfortable, and everything you need is supplied, with an early evening knock on the door with chocolates, extra coffee, and fresh towels if required. We experienced deep, relaxing massages from Suzete, and Mafhalda, in the spa, both amazing therapists. The main restaurant is worthy of Michelin star, and the breakfast is plentiful, with a good selection. But the stars of this hotel are the staff, every single one has a commitment to make your stay extra special, and the attention to detail of their service goes the extra mile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not even sure how we came to find this place, but it is the most amazing hidden gem in the middle of a bustling city. The rooms were well appointed, and the spa and Arcadas for dinner did not disappoint. The gardens were so beautiful.

Do yourself a favor and book at least one night at this incredible property while in Portugal!
A perfect pit stop on the drive from Lisbon to Porto.
I highly recommend the message treatment in the spa and dinner at the farm inspired Arcadas for an epic and artistic meal you'll never forget!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are decent and the price was fair. What shines here is the history of the place, the old part of the hotel, library and of course the gardens and their history.
On the downside, the spa didn’t really impress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While in Portugal on a family trip we stopped here for two nights. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The rooms were very nice, the spa was wonderful and the restaurant was fantastic. We all agreed that the best meal of our trip was here. For a table of seven with cocktails, starters, entrees, dessert and many bottles of wine our bill was under €500.
