Hotel real Marina

It was a nice stay. Breakfast options could be better but it was ok. Omelette was nice. Loads of fresh fruit. The bar is nice. There's a nice burger place right next door which was very tasty. Room service was great.

The Real Marina Hotel in Olhão is an exceptional hotel, and ideal for couples or families who want to explore the Ria Formosa and the surrounding area. One of the Real Marina's sister hotels is a Leading Hotel of The World, the Villa Itália in Cascais, so it's wonderful to see a group like this investing in this part of the region. This eastern stretch of the Algarve is different in many ways (including cost) and tremendously more authentic than the predictability of resorts found in Vilamoura or Vale de Lobo. With over 140 rooms the hotel also has outdoor and indoor pools as well as a gym and spa facility. Views from the front facing rooms are wonderful, looking across the Olhão marina and out to the islands of Culatra and Farol. Restaurant and bar staff are exceptionally good and the breakfast buffet is expansive and accommodates just about every dietary requirement. The main street and market are a short walk, and you're close to lots of good restaurants, including the exceptional Mare Shrimp which is a stone's throw from the hotel. It's hard to fault the Real Marina in any meaningful way. Perhaps, a broader offering of room types would be useful for different group sizes. And while there are in-room Nespresso coffee machines, topping up your capsules after day-one incurs a small fee, but these are small criticisms. The Real Marina has really raised the bar for this part of the eastern Algarve, and as a result the town and region benefits, and so do we as very happy visitors.

Called into the reception of the Real Formosa, supposedly a 5 star establishment.. The male receptionist had on a sweater with his elbow sticking out of it ,I use a more respectable one for gardening.. Not a good start .,,

A very nice hotel in a lovely quiet location on the outskirts of Olhao. Rooms are a decent size with a balcony. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very nice. The pool in November seems to be a favourite with the seagull population. If you are thinking of a boat trip try the desk in front of the glass lifts in reception.

Excellent service and good value for money in a good location. Picturesque view. As one fellow guest said to me a few days ago. It is nice to get a bit of luxury.
