Excellent Le surf-camp est un endroit chaleureux et accueillant. Très bonne ambiance. Peu de monde sur la plage mais aussi dans l'eau pour surfer tranquillement.
Excellent The surf-camp is a warm and welcoming place. Very good atmosphere. Few people on the beach but also in the water to surf quietly.

A faire absolument
Top instructors and multilingual (for French or English speaking children only, it's a plus. You will tell me for adults too) Adequate equipment at water temperature (All the same cold). In short, the school to choose. Once on the beach you will see at a glance that the competing schools look like airy centers. To do absolutely

I can recommend this surf school for 100%! Jorge is a really talented and patient teacher. The wet suits and surf boards have good quality. After a perfectly understandable theory lesson there was a warm up before the practical part which is really helpful for preventing injuries. It was so much fun!

My boyfriend and I stayed with two friends in the camp for 10 Days. We had a very good time and really enjoyed the surfing and the possibility that we could always take some boards and get into the water. The food was really good and sufficient and the catering for vegans was also pretty good. The only thing about the food was that there was just sugary cereals for breakfast and when I asked about oats (-> healthy options are promoted) I had to buy them for myself. But that also wasn’t a big problem. Nevertheless, there were also some not so perfect things: - The camp itself is a lot more rustic than on the pictures. The tents are comfy, wind- and rainproof and you can borrow brushes to clean them every once in a while. There is no indoor area, even the kitchen is kind of outside (with a roof though), so when the weather is not so good there is no place to get warm and dry. What I would recommend is put pillows and games in a tent over night and when it rains, so it stays dry and clean. - Leftover food was stored for stuff members, which is absolutely fine and I really appreciate it, but I still saw a lot of food going in the trash. So my recommendation here would be to have an eye on the food and when you see that noone will eat it until it’s bad you could offer it guests as a free lunch option (as long as it is still good of course) - Sadly we never saw the volleyball field +ball or beach tennis balls, card or board games, because the box with the games was all dirty and wet. - During our stay no trips to porto were organised, we had to organise for ourselves (and get the Uber for ourselves, which is not expensive though) and the trip to the local restaurant was more an act of friendship of one of the guys from staff for his friends. - There were also activities but we had the feeling that the stuff was not really motivated to keep great stuff going in the camp. it was half hearted and we had the feeling they could do so much better when they would be motivated. Also when there is a cocktail night as activity I would expect at least one welcome drink on the house. - For the surfcourse I can only compare with one I had in northern spain last year. There we got one theory lesson, for beginners hands-on help in the water, 5 surfer with one teacher max and for the advanced the teachers were with us IN the water to guide us from there and give us important tips. The two teachers here were kind of overstrained with two courses á 20 surfers from every level. No theory, which I think is very important and helpful. - Also there was just one functioning hard board. - We had the feeling that some of the stuff members haven’t had any contact with surfing or surfcamps before the camp, which I think is important for guests when they ask how the swell is, when it would be good to surf or even answer simple questions like what location I should put on magic seaweed to look up the conditions for yourself. As mentioned before with the activities, they were kind of unmotivated and not service orientated at all. - There was no proper wifi except for the restaurant which I enjoyed and needed A LOT but if wifi is important to you, you should know. What I absolutely loved on our stay was the atmosphere in the evenings, and on the whole camping lot, including the beach. That we could use surfboards from 7-21 and were the only surfers in the water. The internationality and remoteness gives you an absolute feeling of freedom and that the time runs somehow differently. Also the bathroom facilities were VERY clean and really good. The good thing about the simplicity of the camp was that you could really appreciate how you live at home. All in all we had a great stay but we saw a loooot unused potential. And one week MAX. We’d recommend to go only for 3-5 Days and then check out more surfspots in Portugal because it is such a beautiful country!

Had a blast! Booked the lessons 3 days in advance and everything was still possible. The teacher picked us up at the Airbnb provided all equipment necessary and taught us how to surf. Also gave us some great tips for what to do in the city center. All in all a great deal!
