A	Alberto S. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Las fuentes del siglo XII hacían referencia a dos templos en Tabuado, uno dedicado a Santa María y otro al Salvador, siendo éste ultimo el que parece haber ganado como parroquia titular. Sin embargo, el edificio actual es de época posterior, probablemente de mediados del siglo XIII, como nos indica el rosetón protogótico de la fachada principal y otros elementos ornamentales del edificio. La portada principal destaca por su calidad; el tímpano descansa sobre ménsulas en forma de cabezas de bóvidos (similares a las del Monasterio de Paço de Sousa) y capiteles tallados con motivos vegetales. También aparece aquí el motivo de perlas, recurrente en el románico de las cuencas de los ríos Támega y Sousa. El campanario se presenta como una torre defensiva. En el cuerpo de la nave, y al nivel del arco crucero, subsisten dos contrafuertes, que acentúan la volumetría de la Iglesia. En el interior, lo que más destaca es su arco triunfal románico, cuyas arquivoltas descansan sobre dos columnas con impostas decoradas con dientes de sierra y círculos encadenados. Sus capiteles corresponden a una restauración contemporánea. La pared del fondo de la capilla mayor está casi completamente cubierta por interesantes pinturas murales del siglo XVI, en cuyo centro se muestra a Cristo juez, en medio de San Juan Bautista y el Apóstol Santiago el Mayor. The sources of the twelfth century referred to two temples in Tabuado, one dedicated to Santa Maria and the other to the Savior, the latter being the one who seems to have won as a titular parish. However, the current building is from a later period, probably from the mid-thirteenth century, as indicated by the protogothic rosette of the main facade and other ornamental elements of the building. The main cover stands out for its quality; the eardrum rests on corbels in the form of bovid heads (similar to those of the Paço de Sousa Monastery) and carved capitals with plant motifs. The pearl motif also appears here, recurring in the Romanesque basins of the Támega and Sousa rivers. The bell tower is presented as a defensive tower. In the body of the ship, and at the level of the cruising arch, two buttresses remain, which accentuate the volumetry of the Church. Inside, what stands out most is its Romanesque triumphal arch, whose archivolts rest on two columns with imposts decorated with sawtooth and chained circles. Its capitals correspond to a contemporary restoration. The bottom wall of the main chapel is almost completely covered by interesting 16th-century wall paintings, whose center shows Christ the judge, in the middle of Saint John the Baptist and the Apostle James the Elder.

O tecto apainelado é formado por trinta caixotões com figuras de Santos e seis com motivos floriais. Do lado direito da nave, a Capela de Nossa Senhora do Rosário mandada fazer pelo padre Domingos Ribeiro Coutinho em 1668, conforme a inscrição que aí se encontra. O tecto é formado por doze caixotões representando os doze apóstolos. A capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceição é património desta paróquia cuja escritura da fundação de lavrou em 1679 na presença de dois irmãos sacerdotes. A inscrição é um hino a Nossa Senhora e data de 1655. Pertence à Rota do Românico e existe alguma informação junto à igreja. A própria Rota fornece informação no seu site. Very beautiful and very well maintained church.
