★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bela Igreja não só para visitar, mas também para participar na celebração da Missa. Eu prefiro aos Sábados às 17:00, principalmente quando lá estão as crianças da catequese, aprendo com elas e o coro juvenil canta muito bem. O Sr Padre Rafael com a sua espiritualidade cristã que vive no presente é sem dúvida um bom exemplo do que um padre deve ser nos nossos dias.
 Beautiful Church not only to visit but also to participate in the celebration of the Mass. I prefer Saturdays at 5:00 pm, especially when there are the children of catechesis, I learn from them and the youth choir sings very well. Mr. Padre Rafael with his Christian spirituality that lives in the present is certainly a good example of what a priest should be today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Construite au XVIe siècle, cette église paroissiale est considérée comme la première église-hall d'Algarve. A l'image de nombreuses églises portugaises, son clocher est excentré.
Sur la façade on trouve dans une niche une représentation de Notre Dame de la Lumière (traduction française du nom de la vierge qui donne son nom au village et à l'église)
Elle a subi des dégâts lors du tremblement de terre de 1755 et au niveau de la façade sud (côté route ) se trouve un portail dont les colonnes torsadées, rappellent son origine manuéline.
Built in the 16th century, this parish church is considered the first hall church in the Algarve. Like many Portuguese churches, its bell tower is eccentric.
On the facade we find in a niche a representation of Our Lady of Light (French translation of the name of the virgin who gives her name to the village and the church)
It suffered damage during the earthquake of 1755 and at the level of the south facade (road side) is a portal whose twisted columns recall its Manueline origin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful old church. Pity it was closed on Sunday when I arrived. I would very much liked to have seen the interior as in my experience old churches are the greatest repositories of European art.
