O templo tem três naves abobadadas, separadas entre si por oito arcos quebrados, assentes em duas séries de pilares octgonais. Na torre sineira pode ser apreciado o varandim onde se deveria dar à missa ao reclusos da prisão.
The church of São João Batista, was built in the beginning of the 16th century, thus constituting the best example of the Manueline style existing in the municipality.
The temple has three vaulted naves, separated from each other by eight broken arches, based on two series of octagonal pillars. In the bell tower you can enjoy the balcony where mass should be given to prison inmates.
