Altar com quadros da vida de São João Baptista e uma imagem em honra ao mesmo padroeiro com um belíssimo manto. Especial atenção a Nossa Senhora de Sabonha, que se encontra à direta do altar principal. Church of São João Baptista. Beautiful construction, place for a prayer to Our Lord. Altar with pictures of the life of São João Baptista and an image in honor of the same patron with a beautiful mantle. Special attention to Our Lady of Sabonha, which is to the right of the main altar.

Da próxima vez que for a Alcochete, não fique pela frescura do peixe e do marisco e, antes ou depois do repasto, visite este monumento bem no centro da Vila. J	Jessica Woods on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 这个古色古香古韵的小镇！前两年当我们第一次这小镇，确实是不敢相信在离里斯本这么近的地方会有一个这样的小镇存在！从Oriente坐巴士431号可达这里，不贵来回6块多欧元，而且Freeport也在附近，所以我们会到这小镇走走，然后再去Freeport 逛逛街真是很愉快的体验！? 昨天（2017/8/15）再次来到这小镇，真幸运碰到这小镇的传统斗牛节日！真的好有异域风情！可惜这小镇没外国游客知道，偶有会有一两个外国游客，就像我夫妻一样的！?都是本地游客会来这度假或周末！当然有传统节日也会很多本地游客到来！?如来到里斯本有时间到Freeport逛街的话，建意到这小镇走走也是挺不错的经验！? 这是小镇中心的教堂！周围环境就是那种你一看就觉得挺舒服和古朴典雅的味道！? O portal, a rosácea na fechada e o corpo principal dividido em três naves, são as melhores evidências desta primeira fase construtiva. Com o decorrer dos tempos sofreu acrescentos e demolições. São exemplo disso a construção das capelas laterais no período manuelino, século XVII, e muito provavelmente a torre sineira. A capela-mor foi ampliado em 1678, tendo sido registada no seu exterior. (Placa informativa) Church of São João Batista, Matriz de Alcochete. Late-Gothic building, probably built in the 15th century. The portal, the closed rose window and the main body divided into three naves, are the best evidence of this first construction phase. Over the years it has suffered additions and demolitions. An example of this is the construction of the side chapels in the Manueline period, 17th century, and most likely the bell tower. The chancel was expanded in 1678, having been registered outside.
