★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This small island is amazing! I really enjoyed my daytrip to Farol Island. Those small houses and gardens and the beaches.... no words needed! Just visit it! Really worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved the Ferry across to Farol from Faro City. It was €5 return if i remember correctly. In Farol you have the lighthouse & a cute little island abd beautiful beach. It is most definitely worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ White sandy beaches. Clear blue water (a tad chilly!). Lovely restaurants and Beach Cottages on the Island. All complimented by a gorgeous lighthouse overlooking the Island. A must - visit on the Ria Formosa. ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During low season, it is completely dead and wonderful. Feels like you have an abandoned island all to yourself! While it is too cold to enjoy the sun or beach, it's incredibly beautiful from the blue waters to clear sand to the vacant summer houses with amazing front gardens.
I'm glad I visited the lighthouse island in January - beautiful, eerie, yet welcoming all at the same time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most important islands to experience. There is definitely some magic.
And don't forget to visit the amazing Bar where you have a lovely, jungle and cozy atmosphere with really healthy food and a lot of joy and love around. On the right side before the beach.
And try to get the last ferry at 19.15
The sunset is just a wonder.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited in November and it was fantastic as very few people were there! There was one cafe open but it was lovely to walk around and look at the superb little gardens as well as the gorgeous sea. Very pleasant indeed if you want a low key destination.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The island is very beautiful, the houses there are so traditional. There's no cars!!! Is amazing! Walking is the only way to get around, even better when the weather is so beautiful. The beaches are just so gorgeous. Sand is soft and gentle. Water of nice calm waves. There is also 2 places to eat that we saw. Public toilets are not open unfortunately. I enjoyed it here, especially the peace.
