D	David Owen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the IMT to exchange my UK license for a Portuguese license. I arrived at 8:30 and lined up outside. There were about 35 people ahead of me. At 9:00 the office opened. In a very orderly fashion a multi-lingual staff member at the ticket machine made sure everyone got the right kind of ticket. I got a “T” ticket for the license exchange. My number was called at about 9:30. I presented my papers, paid the fee, and was told to return to the waiting area for my number to be called again to have my photo taken and give a signature. Five minutes later I was called again, photo taken, signed the pad, and told I was all done. I was out before 10:00. The whole process was fast, efficient, and well organised. All three staff I dealt with spoke English. My only note is that you should also take a photocopy of your passport, and don’t believe all the horror stories you read.
H	Hilary Henry on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Need to exchange UK licence for Portuguese. Don't pick up the phone. Tried 2 different email addresses but no reply. In desperation drove to Faro. Despite appointment system dozens of people packed on to pavement outside so no social distancing. Goodness knows how far behind they were, it was worse than the ticket system. Told can't make an appointment at the offices. You have to telephone or email!!!!!!!

Life is too short to list all of the issues, suffice to say the mis management is on a level that I have not seen anywhere else in the world. It is really quite staggering that this level of incompetence is left unchecked and allowed to fester!
L	Lina K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was told that I had to change my driving license to Portuguese even though I'm from EU country. Turns out there was no need to do that! Nevertheless, waited for my Portuguese driving license for more than two years and received it with an error. Later I ordered the new ones and I've been waiting again for almost two years... I am aware of what is happening in the world but no one is replying to my emails since October so I could simply pay for my driving license to be sent via CCT.

A	Alexander Pichugin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not working toilets, queues of two hours and more and a nice “AVISO” that they are not able to handle more than 80 people per day - very helpful to find that out when you arrive from far away, given that’s only IMT in Algarve and it is always overcrowded. Staff is slow and rude, especially the security guy.
B	Bobbette Roberts on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went with all my papers. The lady at the desk was so rude to me because I didn't speak Portuguese, she didn't speak English. someone in queue translated for me, she told me to go away and they'd contact me. She didn't look at my papers.
M	Martin JC on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Managed to get UK licenses changed to PT on the spot today. Make sure to get all documents ready in advance and get copies made to take down. Spoke to a very friendly lady who sorted it out for us. UK license being sent back to DVLA
