★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome check out process. They even picked us from the airport. Lots of tips for going around the country and finding campsites. The van worked perfectly! We had a friggin blast! When bringing the van back it was a smooth check in process and even gave us a ride to the metro. We rented in Barcelona and dropped off in Lisbon. We drove over 3000km and not one problem! We had a question on the ride and they answered within mins in a chat option on their website. Awesome group with an awesome group of vans! Thanks a bunch guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A night mare for the service industry. No transparency, no efficiency, not customer oriented friendly. Worst service I ever had in my life as a vehicle rental. Ratings in fb are blocked, this stands for itself. I don’t mean the depot though. For pick-up and drop off not too bad, but try to contact the customer service -total fail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ HORRIBLE experience, DON’T RENT!! The van is having a gas leak and customer service is ignoring it, saying I should drive the van for 2 hours to fix it. The gas leak is caused because I was given a gas bottles with french adapters instead of portugese. It’s a hazard to life to drive and they just keep saying sorry. DON’T make this mistake, NEVER rent IndieCampers. I regret I ignored all bad reviews

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an amazing trip together with my girlfriend. This is difficult to say but at first a bit nervous to drive a campervan in a new country but all went good! First we were welcomed by the gentlemen at the depot. They gave us some tips and we felt very welcomed. After that we followed the roadtrip from Lisboa to Porto and we had a lot of fun. I could talk about everything in detail but everyone has to discover the fun for themselves. Overall just a cool experience. I never went on a roadtrip, it was always hotel here and airplane there. This was different 100% recommend. Also, easy booking fully digital and no hassle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a terrible experience when it comes to customer service… Incredibly unfriendly staff, and especially the woman who was supposed to help us. We were promised to be able to take off the top bed in our van but were refused upon arrival, despite calling another depot saying it was easily fixable. And when asking ANY question regarding ANYTHING we just got the comment ”it says so in the contract”, including the 40€ add on for the stove gas tank which was not included in the total price. Also, they had forgotten to check the coolant level so we had to drive to no less than 8 different gas stations looking for it. Worth mentioning however that the people at Faro depot were very helpful, and besides from the above, we enjoyed our van and our stay.

Last weekend, we rented a campervan from IndieCampers. When picking it up, my husband didn’t check the van for cleanliness. A couple of hours later, when I got in the van with my 10-months-old and my 4-years-old children I saw it completely dirty: food, gums, hair, dog hair all over the place. I immediately called IndieCampers and sent emails with photos. We paid 510 euros for 2 nights (because of extras). It is not cheap.
I spent 3 hours cleaning or trying to, since we didn’t have the proper tools … dog hair over the mattresses. We had half the trip destroyed. The kids have allergies… the customer support does not give us alternatives. They say we will be compensated as soon as we deliver the van. Well. It did not happen. The compliance office was closed. It was Sunday. The advice of the customer support was: to send another email claiming the compensation. Worst user experience ever!
IndieCampers returned 100 euros after several complaints.
100 euros is not enough to compensate the stress with 2 small children in a small dirty van, full of allergies. Imagine our night…
Really bad experience.
