About International Christian Church of Cascais
INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF CASCAIS
STATEMENT OF FAITH
THE SCRIPTURES
We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and the supreme final authority in doctrine and practice 2 Tim. 3:16 17; 2 Pet. 1: 21).
THE GODHEAD
We believe in one God eternally existing in three equal Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who have the same nature and attributes but who are distinct in office and activity (Matt. 28:19; 11 Cor. 13:14).
THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. We believe that He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice. We believe that our redemption and salvation is fulfilled by His literal physical death on the cross and resurrection from the dead (Jn. 1:1, 14, 18; Lk. 1:35; Rom. 3:24 26; 4:25). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven, exalted to the right hand of God where, as High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of intercession and advocacy for His people (Heb. 1:3; 3:1; 7:23-25; 1 Jn. 2:1-2). We believe in the personal, return of the Lord Jesus Christ to redeem His bride the church.
THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that God the Holy Spirit is a person who restrains evil in the world and convicts men of sin. He also regenerates those who receive Christ as Savior, baptizes them into the Body of Christ, seals them unto the day of redemption, bestows spiritual gifts on each one and fills those who yield to Him (Jn. 3:8;14:16-17; 16.7.-11:1 Cor. 12:4 11,13; Eph. 4:30; 5:18).
CREATION
We believe all things in heaven and earth were created by God and exist by His power (Gen 1 - 3, Col 1:15 - 17).
We believe that man was created innocent and in the image and likeness of God but that he sinned bringing both physical and spiritual death to himself and his posterity. We believe that man has inherited a sinful nature, is separated from God, and is in need of salvation (Gen. 1:27, 2:17; 3:19, Eph. 2:1-3).
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is a gift of God and is received by humanity through personal faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for sin. We believe that humanity is Justified by grace through faith apart from works (Acts 13:36-39, Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8-10).
SANCTIFICATION
We believe that sanctification, which is a setting apart unto God, is positional, and progressive, Positionally sanctification is already complete since the believer is in Christ and is set apart unto God. Since he retains his sinful nature, however, there is need for progressive sanctification whereby the Christian grows in grace by the power of the Spirit. (John 17:17; II Cor. 3:18; Eph. 5:25-27, 1 Thess. 5:23; Heb. 10:10, 14).
THE CHURCH
We believe that the Church, the Body and Bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism, made up of all born-again persons of this present age. We believe that the Church began at Pentecost and that a believer is placed into the Church by the baptizing work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Church is distinct from Israel (Eph. 1:22-23; 5:25-27; I Cor. 10:32; 12:13).
We believe that the local church is an assembly of professed believers in Jesus Christ who are voluntarily joined together in one locality for the purposes of worship, study of the Word of God, observance of the ordinances, Christian fellowship, and to be equipped for Christian service (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Cor. 1:1-2; Eph. 4:1 1 -13).
THE ORDINANCES OF BAPTISM AND COMMUNION
We believe that Christ instituted the ordinances of water baptism and communion which are to be observed by believers until He returns (Matt.28:19-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-26). We believe that by water baptism a believer is publicly identified with his savior, that the mode should-be immersion, unless extenuating circumstances such as illness require pouring or sprinkling, that infants of believing parents may be dedicated to the Lord but not baptized.
We believe that communion is a memorial of Christ's death, the elements being symbols of His body and blood.
We believe that every Christian has the right to partake of the elements of communion.

My daughter was studying at an excellent school in Brazil, but seeing how she has developed here, met all of our expectations. In less than a year, she who had never had contact with the English language, is already mastering English, reading, writing and even doing math, not to mention the moral, Christian and social values she has learned, a basis for life entire. The school staff welcomed us as a family. I have no words to thank. My daughter loves this school and we as a family too. I have no doubt that this is the best school in Portugal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great and trusted establishment, I attended ICSC from my freshman year up until my senior year of high school and I am now fourtunate enough to be attending one of the best international universities in europe. ICSC has opened up so many great doors for me and the school community as a whole is something out of this world! It is also very important to bare in mind that ICSC is an international school, that can and will open up great doors for you internationally as long as you are also willing to put in the work! Loved my experience here x

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was a student at the school.
Mixed feelings about my experiences there. The teachers are great, the students are awesome, but the governing body of the "establishment" is shocking .
10th graders are taught the same work as a 12th grader, and good luck getting your child into a university in Portugal .. p.s: not going to happen. Your child will be rewarded with an unrecognizable deploma.
Rather give me the money and I'll tutor your child.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a teacher at this school and I can only testify to a unique experience. Each student is treated as a whole and the subjects taught are only a part of the academic curriculum. Love and respect are also incorporated throughout their education at ICSC. I found that there was a constant relationship between the families and the school. As a school teacher and missionary, I felt the added responsibility of setting an example for these extraordinary children. The staff treats the students as though they were family. I learned so much from these students as well as from the colleagues with whom I worked side by side. This is a strong team of teachers and administration. I thank God for allowing me this opportunity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ my two cousins are studying in that school. I was visiting Portugal for two months over there and I had the opportunity two see and meet the people in that school. I love the staff and the atmosphere that school has. Everyone is kind, polite, generous, and most importantly they have a passion of teaching. I can't thank them in of for all the help they have given to my two cousins. Hopefully I will go back to Portugal to stop by and say hello because truly they are remarkable.
