IVI Lisboa Clinic

Our experience with IVI was wonderful. We started our journey on this infertility journey in 2010 at MAC, and after 2 unsuccessful attempts, we became discouraged and buried our dream of having a child. We heard about IVI and friends who managed to make their dream come true and we thought, why not? Let's try one more time at least! And here we are to share that joy, a dream come true. We were very well received by the whole IVI family, who knew how to listen to our story and forward it to the most appropriate treatment. Very helpful at the first visit to captivate the patient! They ask for some exams and that's it ... from there they make people a MB with legs without even trying to figure out the problem! Doctors work miracles, but there are situations where miracles don't come. And age is one of them (if the choice is not the way to donate). After so many losses through the natural route in the last year and a half, it was obvious that the difficulties were related to my age (turning 42 at the time of treatment). That's why we decided to try it once and if it worked out great, if it didn't work, we would go on with our lives with the certainty that we tried all the ways at our disposal. Everything went well the first time, and that happened because everyone at IVI Lisboa knows what they are doing, because everyone knows what to advise in each case and with their specific background. And it went very well. But we are sure that without your help, this little miracle would never have come into our lives! He's super healthy and a wonderful baby. Due to our background, we decided to resort to genetic testing of embryos (NGS), which we were advised and thanked for. This way we don't waste time with pregnancies that would not work and this would greatly affect our mental health, as not all embryos were healthy. As we said at the time, even if it didn't work out in the end, we would recommend the Clinica IVI Lisboa because we know they did everything possible to help us! They were all extremely important in our journey, which even went easy and without major hitches! Thank you very much!

Before the operation in this clinic, I passed their tests. The test results were not sent by e-mail in full, some of the test results were cut off. For three weeks we were trying to get the full analyzes by phone calls and letters, every time we heard promises, but the results were sent to us in full only three weeks later. After that, I tried to sign up for the operation and find out its cost. For two weeks we were promised by phone to send detailed information by e-mail, but nothing was sent. They definitely have e-mail, since I received other letters from them. And only after I contacted the attending physician and asked where you can complain about the indifference of the clinic staff, I was answered on the same day. After the operation, they brought me to the ward and two girls of the nurses could not transfer me from the gurney to the bed, they asked my wife to help them. After that, they left and no one else appeared. Half an hour later, when the sensitivity returned after the operation and the pain resumed, we tried to call someone with the call button, but no one came. My wife went to look for a nurse or a doctor. The nurse came, asked how severe the pain was and said that she would ask what could be done. She never returned. Nobody asked about my pain. 15 minutes later another nurse came and handed me two packs of crackers, promised to bring water, but didn’t bring me. After another 15 minutes, the wife again went to look for someone who could bring water. The water was brought in another 15 minutes. When I asked how long I still have to lie, when can I go home and what to do next, they answered "Wait for a doctor." Half an hour later, the doctor came and said that I could go home. When I asked the nurse if they could take me to the car in a wheelchair, since it hurts me to walk after the operation, I was told "Go yourself, leisurely!" There is a feeling that, as a client, the clinic is not interested in me. I have never met such indifference and negligence towards a patient. And I do not find the reasons for such an attitude.

We started an egg donation treatment with ivi, until today we have had a very good follow-up by the whole team, dra catarina godinho has been tireless for our doubts, our questions, without any detail left blank, we had an egg donation that went wrong with another clinic in human reproduction, it went wrong, and that we decided to choose another clinic and this clinic was ivi because of the professional capacity they have, but we also decided to try just one more time, because it messes a lot with a person's psychological system, and the my family. And we are super excited and confident that we are in good hands with the ivi clinic. Thanks to ivi and his team, wonderful in helping and looking for the ideal solution for each case.
