A proprietária muito solicita, nos mostrou a montra com as opções. Em nenhum local observamos os preços. A sugestão foi duas fatias de torta. Para acompanhar nos indicou salada e arroz. A nossa surpresa foi ao pagar, que identificamos que os acompanhamentos são cobrados separados nos fim de semana, e a salada ser mais cara que a torta. Na hora de pagar ficamos um pouco descontente justamente porque não imaginávamos que os acompanhamentos eram mais caro. Sugerimos que os preços sejam visíveis ou que tenha o menu sempre para o cliente. Nice place, cozy and delicious food. We arrived at the place and didn't know what to eat. The very solicitous owner showed us the window with the options. Nowhere do we look at prices. The suggestion was two slices of pie. To accompany us, he indicated salad and rice. Our surprise was when paying, that we identified that the sides are charged separately on the weekends, and the salad is more expensive than the pie. When it comes to paying, we were a little unhappy precisely because we didn't imagine that side dishes were more expensive. We suggest that prices are visible or that the menu is always available to the customer.

Entrei a meio da manhã, referi que pretendia algo leve para a ocasião e fui aconselhada pela senhora que me atendeu a experimentar uma taça pequena de açaí com topping de granola. Pedi a taça pequena (efetivamente pequena) e uma cevada dupla. O meu namorado pediu um café. A cevada sabia mal e não encheu uma chávena. Quando fui pagar, a senhora apresenta-me uma conta de…14,90€ Achei que se tinha enganado. Questionei o preço elevado e completamente desajustado dos produtos e pela não exposição ou informação prévia do preço dos produtos, prontamente respondeu que “estava à vista”, apontando para um qrcode colado numa parte baixa do balcão, praticamente invisível a quem entra e pede, mesmo estando em frente ao balcão. Apontando-me o dedo e num tom mais elevado, disse-me que o açaí é importado e valioso e que tem tido muito sucesso na venda, apesar da minha reclamação oral. Não se pronunciou em relação aos 3€ que cobra pela cevada mal servida e de fraca qualidade. Senti-me enganada, roubada, vigarizada. Paguei o preço de um jantar quando achava que estava a entrar numa pastelaria de bairro e a consumir um pequeno lanche da manhã. Não se faz. Mistake in bad faith. I went in mid-morning, said I wanted something light for the occasion and was advised by the lady who served me to try a small bowl of açaí with granola topping. I ordered the small bowl (actually small) and a double barley. My boyfriend ordered a coffee. The barley tasted bad and didn't fill a cup. When I went to pay, the lady presented me with a bill for…€14.90 I thought I had made a mistake. I questioned the high and completely unadjusted price of the products and due to the lack of exposure or prior information on the price of the products, he promptly replied that “it was in sight”, pointing to a qrcode glued to a low part of the counter, practically invisible to those who enter and ask, even standing in front of the counter. Pointing his finger at me and in a higher tone, he told me that açaí is imported and valuable and that it has been very successful in selling, despite my oral complaint. He did not comment on the €3 he charges for poorly served and poor quality barley. I felt cheated, robbed, conned. I paid the price of a dinner when I thought I was entering a neighborhood bakery and consuming a small morning snack. It is not done.

Saboreamos um pudim e finalizamos com um maravilhoso brigadeiro com cafezinho! Os proprietários Paulo e Paula nos receberam carinhosamente e para completar nosso dia maravilhoso em Guimarães o almoço foi fundamental ! SUPER RECOMENDO !! I visited Guimarães and went to lunch at La&Ca, I can say that everything was very tasty and neat, the portion size and seasoning are divine! Very tasty! We enjoyed a pudding and finished with a wonderful brigadeiro with coffee! The owners Paulo and Paula warmly welcomed us and to complete our wonderful day in Guimarães lunch was essential! SUPER RECOMMEND!!

Ordered two ‘cappuccinos’ here and received two half-full cups that were a hybrid between a tasteless, weak latte and a mocha. Tried to challenge the outrageous 9€ total (3.50€ per coffee, and a dubious €2 fee to take away), and the poor quality, but was met with deaf ears. I could have done better with some UHT milk, instant coffee and a microwave. Clearly the ‘barista’ had never drunk a coffee before, because she tried to tell me this was a normal cappuccino. Avoid this place like the plague. **UPDATE: after being caller a liar by the owner below, please see attached additional photos showing the purchase on my bank statement and photo metadata. Unlike the owner claims, I also returned to the lady serving the coffee to say how it was unacceptable but was simply told I was wrong. She said that a cappuccino should be served without foam, and the volume (half cup) was the same as a ceramic cups and there was therefore no issue. I was not offered a refund or an alternative and was simply asked whether I would like cinnamon.
