A pleasant stay, but definitely not 5 stars. The facilities looked good (although due to the pandemic they couldn’t be fully used) and the staff was very friendly and helpful, but there were several things that could have been much better. The hotel was cold, uncomfortable, with some things needing repair and with awful internet service. We went in January, with below 5º temperatures, so one with expect the hotel to be warm and cozy. Unfortunately no, it was cold in general. The hallways were very cold and the room, even with the AC set to 27º, was only mildly comfortable, like sleep with sweater comfortable. Little things like the room toilet, shower, or sink, were in need of repair or were clogged or leaking. And the worst of all, the internet service was awful. The wireless network is unprotected and the internet speed in terribly slow, so simple things like browsing, Twitter, or Instagram, are almost impossible. And because the room tv uses IPTv, trying to watch tv is also a terrible experience, with slow channel zapping and with constant sound and image glitches and slowdowns. We also used the indoor heated swimming pool, which was alright, but inexplicably one had to exit the hotel and go outside (in bathrobes and slippers through the cold and rain) to go to that building, there’s no connection through the interior... Eating was also a mixed bag, but that has more to do with the pandemic restrictions than with the hotel itself. But while the breakfast was only good (not great), the restaurant (which we went during dinner) had amazing food. We had a mushroom risotto and a codfish on rice, and they were both very very good. Even the bread and butters were incredible. And through all this, the service and staff were always very friendly and helpful. We had a good time, but didn’t feel like this was a 5 star hotel or 5 star experience. So come and enjoy the hotel and the surroundings, but set your expectations accordingly

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Portugal. There are 4 different swimming pools, each carrying a different experience, located around the hotel and surrounded by so many palm trees that give an exotic touch, used in the same time as a fence between the pools and the rooms. The rooms are comfortable and all of them have a nice view, even if you can tell some stuff are a bit dated, but this doesn't affect at all the final judgment. Together with my fiancee, we dediced to celebrate the wedding here and the hotel management gave us the suite, boosting our happiness. Not just during the special day, but throught the whole our staying, the staff took care of us, trying to gave us the best experience ever. Special mention goes to the restaurant of the hotel, able to modify the standard menu with our requests, satisfying in the same time italian and portuguese families, and the staff serving us, able to perfectly handle even the most unconventional situations.

We had a very good stay. Even with the low capacity of the restaurant during Covid times we had our dinner in the room (same menu the restaurant had) only for more 8euros. The hotel was full but it didn't feel crowded. Only down side was the noise of the windows opening in the other rooms as they are big and made the building shake...

*Highlights*; breakfast, View, Pools *Lowlights*; food is basic no taste at all, no double bed available, old fashioned furniture, a hotel map needed because it's huge, the employees can't describe the food (lack of knowledge), expensive for the offer, lack of customer centricity, lack of infrastructure maintenance. So, in our opinion this hotel is a no go. The hotel is completely overrated and the management needs to improve and modernize this infrastructure. The restaurant the food was tasteless. (There are a few restaurants around which are way better) The pool bar was ok however the chef has a lack of knowledge. (I've asked what meat I'm eating and the cut!) The Pools were ok and well organized. This was my overall experience, for a five stars hotel we were expecting more, and please pay attention to the details. Thank you, 514

Amazing place with stunning views over the lake.In what the hotel is concerned there are a few drawbacks - quality of the food served in the lobby bar and the poolbar, not much to choose from. The only restaurant available is a la carte and there isn't much choice here either. Breakfast is very good and the whole staff is very friendly and willing to make your stay a great one. It's a pity the hotel is not being explored to its fullest, especially the infinity pool, which lacks a bar. Possibly all these flaws are due to the pandemic. Let's hope this is the reason. But, overall our stay was a pleasant one.

Big room and great shower ! Spa and a 25 meter indoor swimming pool. Friendly staff

Very nice area, lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff.. big indoor swimming pool with showers, toilets and nice gym .. (get swimming cap or buy from the reception). Good food, room service was fast while a bit slow for dinning and set menus.. Good breakfast but There is no fresh juices or fresh eggs. It was ready egg mix but anyway it was still good.. Room are spacious, very comfortable beds. It is very nice for couples, honeymooners,little kids.. not that fun for teenagers nothing much to do during winter time better summer time with more water activities around. 2 outdoor pools, very nice spa with excellent prices worth trying, many lounges around, good underground free parking.

Awesome place to spend a few days in family. We came with our toddler and we had a great time together. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is state-of-the-art.
