★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paid 5,60eur for a pasteis de Nara (which was good enough for a quick breakfast), a larger pastry (and which was not fresh), freshly squeezed orange juice. The cashier, owner I think, was nice. Probably a little overpriced. They charge 1.20 per pasteis, more than in the high end places.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Lisbon pastry shop. Nothing too fancy and a bit old school. But still charming and original. Suggest you pop in if you don't want Lisbon to become a clone of other European cities and pay €3+ for a coffee in future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been living nearby for 2 months and each time I find most of the pastries and bread are not fresh. Doubt the quality or even the state of.most things they sell. Another problem it's depending how you the dress the bill tends to change

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent typical Portuguese pastry, almost exclusively visited by locals. Lots of amazing sweets to try, almost always super fresh, good prices, friendly staff (yes, they do not speak any English, so try and make an effort to order in Portuguese or to point at what you want). I went there nearly every day for a week. Highly recommended.

Seems to be frequented by the locals more than tourists.
