★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A doable walk for most levels of fitness I think., mostly flat.
We saw flamingos, storks, egrets and many other birds. A lovely place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The park is wonderful, but the parking by the airport at 100 meters from the beginning of the trail is a paradise for thieves. And it is a shame authorities do nothing to prevent car robberies.
They broke a glass and a door of my rented car to steal my backpack, which was in the trunk. A warning sign and/or a camera should be put there to prevent further crimes. Witnesses told me so many cars have been robbed lately. Be careful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wasn't anything too special but still its free and is a nice place to cool off and go for cycling. We found some birds and it seems that the place is/used to be a salt mine of some sort. There is quite a bit of a greenery in the area and we did find some nice places to stop while cycling. There was a fair bit of smell coming out from the water at some times :D

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's worth visiting not only to see the flamingos, but also to have a great walk around the nature

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An excellent pathway to spend some time with nature cycling or walking. Can see flemingos and wild birds chirping and preying. The most attraction is that we do an excellent hike with bike. Be with a co-rider for safety if you are hiking out of the routine ways.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful hiking trail, not too crowded (visited in mid-June), the views are amazing, and the plants, species, and the variety of birds that we get to see was so amazing!
Some parts of the trail are linear, while in some portions you can “loop back”, but mostly linear. So you can decide for yourself when to go back, but if you want to get a long hike in, that’s possible here. We did 17km and were happy about it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful trail, especially if you have half a day. If you parked by the airport fence (this location), don’t be discouraged by the trail’s humble beginning along an artificial battery with planes taking off over your head. Many birds to see, but the best is up ahead.
After a mile or so, next to a golf course, the trail reincarnates as a beautiful wooden board walk. Continue straight on for about 3 miles, or improvise a loop via the beach and the bridge (see map photo).
To bypass the beginning, consider parking in one of the parking lots on the map (some are paid), which will get you closer to the best parts. Riding bicycles is also quite popular, not sure where to rent them, probably in Faro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ludo Hiking Trail is beautifully laid out, but unfortunately very straight forward in terms of walkways.
Parking is ideal at the motorhome-spot and from there it's beautiful plane spotting. The nature was still a bit barren in February, but it will probably bloom during the season.
Don't forget to cross the bridge after the trail and visit Faro beach. Very nice sandy beach and appealing eateries.
